Get on the Bus to Tulsa -- Let's Talk About Race

  • Centenary United Methodist Church 6

Information from The Oklahoma Conference of The United Methodist Church website here: https://okumc-reg.brtapp.com/getonthebus2017

Join other United Methodists around the state as we have conversations about race, bias, the Tulsa race riot, and other relevant topics. Hannibal Johnson, attorney-author-independent consultant specializing in diversity & inclusion/cultural competence issues and nonprofit governance, is our key note speaker on Saturday. Johnson is the author of Black Wall Street–From Riot to Renaissance in Tulsa’s Historic Greenwood District. This time together will invite, even challenge us to act in ways that will be racially just in our communities and state.

This retreat is sponsored by the Oklahoma United Methodist Commission on Strengthening the Black Church for the 21st Century (SBC-21)  and the Commission on Religion and Race (CORR).
