PlaniTULSA Reminder

Neighborhood Leaders,

Thank you for your interest in the growth and improvement of Tulsa. Your participation is vitally important as we engage in a process of community planning that we call PLANiTULSA. Please participate in the upcoming planning workshops, Sept. 23 and 24. To register go to www.planitulsa.org, or call the PLANiTULSA info line at 918.576.5684.

The PLANiTULSA process, led by expert city planner John Fregonese, can bring all regions of the city together. It can also move our economic development forward. A well-done, inclusive plan can improve the quality of life for all Tulsans as it guides us through the next thirty years.

Mr. Fregonese will conduct community workshops the evening of September 23 and the afternoon of September 24. These two workshops are critical opportunities to participate in the planning process. Come help us determine a vision for our city and create an inclusive plan for how all of Tulsa will grow. We need everyone’s input.

The PLANiTULSA brochure is attached for more information. Please share it with your neighbors and encourage them to participate.

Sincerely,
Kathy Taylor
Mayor

PBS Documentary: Where do the Children Play?

On Wednesday, September 24th, PBS will be broadcasting the documentary Where Do the Children Play?, from 10pm to 11pm.

Michigan Public Television describes the program as “a one-hour documentary for public television that examines how restrictive patterns of sprawl, congestion, and endless suburban development across America are impacting children’s mental and physical health and development.” The film follows the socialization of children within rural, suburban and urban environments.

Where Do the Children Play? would be great viewing for anyone interested in learning how different communities can influence childhood development. More importantly, it may teach us ways in which we can enrich the lives of children in Brady Heights!

Thanks to the RestoreTulsa group for the heads up!

“Third Ward” Screening at Circle Cinema

Neighbors,
Please consider attending the showing of Third Ward at Circle Cinema on June 10th at 7:00pm. I think it will be a very encouraging movie for our neighborhood to watch and may help inspire us toward good ideas for our community. The showing will be free but concession purchases are appreciated. I am going to ask the Brady Heights officers and directors to attend the movie. Please join us.
Thanks,
Nathan Pickard
