February Association Meeting & Annual Meeting Minutes

February’s neighborhood association meeting will be held this Saturday, February 21st at 10am.

This month we will be discussing the 2009 BHNA budget, repair of the monument, phase 2 of The Arts Parkway project and more!

The Brady Heights Neighborhood Association’s monthly meetings are held at Centenary United Methodist Church at the corner of Golden and North Denver. Please enter through the South door. A sitter is provided.

Out-going BHNA president, Nathan Pickard, gave a year in review. Approval of minutes from prior meeting was deferred until the next Board meeting. The Treasurers report was presented by Jenna Brennan. George Aveilhe motioned to approve the treasurer’s report, with clarification of the Art Parkway funds. AJ McIntosh seconded the motion. The vote was unanimous.
Officer Nominations: Marissa Carter was nominated by Kristin Pickard, for the office of President. By acclimation, Marissa Carter was elected. Nathan Pickard was nominated by Tim Williams, for the office of Vice-President. By acclimation, Nathan Pickard was elected. Jenna Brennan was nominated by George Aveilhe for the office of Treasurer. By acclimation, Jenna Brennan was elected. Tara Bowen was nominated by Mike Keim for the office of Secretary. By acclimation, Tara Bowen was elected.
George Aveilhe motioned to vacate the Board seat held by Kevin Thompson, due to absences. Bob Glidewell seconded the motion. The vote was unanimous. To fill two vacancies on the board, Marissa Carter’s and Kevin Thompson’s, with one year remaining on the term, Mike Keim was nominated by Russell Burkhart, and Erin O’Dowd was nominated by Tara Bowen. To fill two two-year term vacancies on the Board, Kristin Pickard was nominated by Marissa Carter, and Justin Pickard volunteered. The Board vacancies were approved, by acclimation.
The BHNA representative on the Coalition of Historic Neighborhoods Committee, by acclimation, will be Celina Burkhart, with Jeremy Brennan, as alternate. The BHNA representative on the Certificate of Appropriateness Committee, by acclimation, will again be Tim Williams.
Russell Burkhart motioned to pay the Tulsa Copy Shop, LLC $150.17 for the cost of printing the Brady Heights Directory. Kristin Pickard seconded the motion. The vote was unanimous. The Board will take nomination for the Wess and Kathryn Young Community Service Award, and will be approved before the next meeting. George Aveilhe motioned to adjourn. Mike Keim seconded the motion. The vote was unanimous.
